Rebecca’s diverse portfolio includes business litigation, professional malpractice, contract disputes, and other complex commercial matters in both state and federal court.
Prior to joining Figliulo & Silverman, Rebecca was an associate at a boutique Chicago litigation firm, where she tried numerous cases on behalf of civil plaintiffs and defendants, as well as criminal defendants. She also represented clients before the Illinois Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission and the American Arbitration Association, as well as in private mediations. Rebecca has extensive dispositive motion and appellate experience and has argued before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Rebecca previously served as a fellow at Cabrini Green Legal Aid, where she practiced criminal and juvenile defense. She additionally represented clemency candidates before the Illinois Prisoner Review Board and Chicago Public School students in expulsion hearings. Rebecca has also represented asylum and green card applicants and visa petitioners before United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Rebecca serves on the Lawndale Christian Legal Center Young Professionals Council and was vice-chair of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Criminal Justice Committee during the 2013 – 2014 bar year.
