John J. (“Jack”) Lynch, a partner in the firm of Figliulo & Silverman, P.C., is a trial lawyer with over 30 years of experience and has focused his practice on professional liability cases and insurance law. He has represented doctors, lawyers, accountants, architects and engineers in civil lawsuits and has also represented professionals before the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
His appellate court experience includes arguing cases before the Illinois Appellate Courts, the Illinois Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Jack is a graduate of the DePaul University College of Law where he served as a member of the Board of Editors of the DePaul Law Review. He is a frequent lecturer before legal and other professional associates. He has authored articles that have been published in such journals as the American Bar Association Journal and The Forum and has authored three chapters in the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education publications.
He is a past chair of: the Long Range Planning Committee of the Illinois State Bar Association; the Professional Liability Section of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel; and the Professional, Officers and Directors Liability Law Committee of the TIPS Section of the American Bar Association.
Jack is admitted to practice before the Illinois Supreme Court, the trial bar of the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. His biography has been profiled in Who’s Who in American Law since 1996.
Jack was elected in April 2005 to serve a four-year term as President of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Western Springs, Illinois. As the chief elected official of Western Springs, Jack continues Figliulo & Silverman’s commitment to community service.
